Introduction

National Scholarship Portal is that the sole resolution through that the varied services ranging from the scholarship, application receipt, processing, acceptance and distribution of assorted scholarship square measure enabled. National Scholarship Portal is taken as a Mission Mode Project beneath National e-Governance arrange (NeGP). Presently, NSP nine collaborating Ministries / Departments and twenty-one registered schemes. National Scholarships Portal is taken as Mission Mode Project under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). Currently, the NSP has 9 participating ministry/departments and 21 registered schemes.

Vision

The objective of this initiative is to supply simplified, mission-oriented, responsible, responsive and clear ‘Smart’ system for quick and effective disposal of applications of scholarship and distribution of funds directly into profitable accounts with none outflow.

Mission

Under the National e-Governance Plan, Mission Mode Project (MMP) of the National Scholarship Portal is to provide a general electronic portal for the implementation of various scholarship schemes initiated by the Central Government, State Government and Union Territories across the country.

Online Application procedure for scholarships

Fresh application:

  • 1st step – Student have to go register using the “Student Registration page” on the National Scholarships Portal.
  • Fill up the application as per the instructions are given by the system then click on save button. The initial details like student name, domicile state, contemporary / renewal, father / mother / guardian name, birth date, caste, community, base variety (if available), email, {phone variety|telephone number|number|signal|signaling|sign} number / student ID demand for filling the applying is .
  • After saving, the student will get a “Temporary ID”. The system will give the application instructions for filling up the details of his temporary ID and date of birth.
  • After the registration is completed after clicking on the submit button, a permanent registration ID is prepared which can be used for renewal and can track the status of the application.
  • Once the student submits the Online application form and the student get the Permanent Registration ID, he/she will-will not be able to edit the details until the Scholarship Application Processing is completed.

Renewal:

  • Upgradation students will have to apply for their bank account number and date of birth, in which they registered last year. Students can also use the forgotten registration ID to recover their ID.

Procedure to register school/college/institution

  • Visit the URL – https://scholarships.gov.in/institutedetail.do
  • Before Registering, check if it is already Registered with the Portal by using the “Find School/College”. The institution can be searched by location/institute code.
  • If it is not found in the list then proceed for registration by selecting “ Register School/College ” available. A registration form title – The school/college/university details are displayed on the right-hand side of the website.
  • Fill in the Institute Registration Form and click on submit button.
  • Once the Online form is Successfully Submitted, the Institute will be verified and approved by the respective state Nodal Officer. To know the details of state nodal officers to the National Scholarships Portal, click here.
  • After the Verification & Approval process, the respective Login Credentials (user id and password) will be communicated to the school/college through SMS to the State Nodal Officer.
